Why is wireshark non responsive?

I recently installed version 2.4.2 over 2.2.10 and the application was predominantly non responsive during captures and trying to analyze the capture. I uninstalled 2.4.2 and reinstalled 2.2.10 and am having the same issue any ideas? I am about to try and find another network analyzer.

Try to capture with a fresh profile. That can be related to some options you have set.

This worked. Deleted original profile recreated it no more non responsive.
