The name resolution for the gateway-router constantly changes name, sometimes is Sagemcom, other times is api.home or bthomehub.home. Is this normal? If so why does it behave this way?

What kind of uplink do you have? Who's your DNS provider?

I'm new to networking, I'm learning, so apologies if I do say silly things... Well, the uplink... my home network is made up of my BT (British Telecom) router and my computer connected with an ethernet cable. The DNS provider is BT with Primary DNS 81.139.56.100 and Secondary DNS 81.139.57.100

What kind of uplink do you have? Dial-up, ADSL, Cable, Fiber?

I'm using ADSL. Sometimes I browse the internet using NordVpn... don't know if that could cause any changes to the address resolution for my router connection.

The inconsistency of name resolution also happens for the Network Address not only the Physical Address of my router. For instance when I look at a live capture on the top pane (frames) I can see that the Source IP for my router is bthomehub.home and the Source Mac is Sagemcom, but in the middle pane (headers) the name resolution for both IP and Mac address is shown as bthomehub.home. If I save the capture and 10 minutes later I look at the same frame it shows different name resolutions, the Source IP address had become api.home (before bthomehub.home) and the Source MAC address had become bthomehub.home (before Sagemcom). Is this a normal behaviour?
