Client identifier will not convert to printable text

Hi, i am trying to get my ISP username and address so that i can use a seperate router to the one sky supplied. I have folowed the details from an online post, but when i get to the; Option (61) Client identifier and try to convert to printabe text, it only shows characters!

Can you provide a link to this online post that explains what you're trying to do?

Without posting the whole thing that would reveal your Sky account name and password what sort of characters do you get? Are they separated by a pipe symbol?

Hi grahamb,

It appears to be 5 symbols; =+...

I am following exactl what it says on https://www.georgebuckingham.com/sky-... but when i paste it in to a text editor, it brings up a few symbols, rather than the printable text, which would allow me to read it and use it to set up my new netgear router. I have tried using different text editors, but the symbols are always the same.
