ARP requests to all devices in my network with only wireshark running
I am new to IT Security and was doing a Wireshark assignment. I don't really know what I'm doing yet but it does seem strange. I had thousands of packets within 5 minutes, there was so much I couldn't even do the assignment. After that, I ran it again with nothing running and had a lot of ARP requests to all devices in my network and after a while a lot of TCP requests. The strange thing is the ARP requests are coming from my router. I also notice my laptops ip is sending stuff out. I am using a Windows. I am worried my router ip is spoofed or something. It could be normal, but it looks funny. I would love any help you can give! Tonight I had 44 packets within 30 seconds and its the same thing ARP requests from my router to every device with 1 router advertisement among them, then three SSDP, then TCP and HTTP kick in and I see PSH and ACK a lot in the info column.
