Internet connection lost during and after capture on Windows

Hello,

Whenever I run a capture using Wireshark 3.2.2, I lose my Internet connection. I cannot get to any websites. I can peruse internal sites but nothing outside our company network. I have to reboot in order to get my connection back. I am on a virtual machine with a virtual network. No wireless. I see others are having the same issue however, I have not seen a solution.

On what operating system is this? The low-level capture code isn't part of Wireshark, or even part of the libpcap library, it's OS-dependent code running in kernel mode, and its effect on the rest of the networking stack depends on which OS it is.

VMWare ESXi 6.5. It has also happened on my Windows 10 laptop which is not virtualized obviously. Other users in my dept have also experienced the same thing. Windows 10 64 bit laptops.
