I can't see roku traffic on my wireshark captures. Why not?

I'm running an all LINUX network with half a dozen clients and one ROKU device. When I set up a promiscuous capture, unfiltered, I can see traffic to and from all of the clients except the ROKU. Any insight appreciated.

How are the devices connected? WiFi? Network switch?

The ROKU and one PC are hardwired. The others are connected wirelessly. The problem persists independant of the connection type. They all connect to 2wire modem/router.
