HI to all!

I have a pcap file containing an Ethernet/DVB-S2 stack. To dissect it, I want to use the "DLT_USER" option, but I can’t correctly enter the "Payload protocol" name for DVB-S2. "dvb-s2_modeadapt", "dvb-s2_bb" and "dvb-s2_gse" values does not work.

Please help me with what to do in this situation.

According to the DVB-S2 Wiki page, the dissector only supports traffic over UDP.

Downloading the example capture file from that page, enabling DVB-S2 and dvb_s2_udp and disabling RTP (using the Analyze-> Enabled Protocols dialog) showed dissection of DVB-S2 traffic.

Is your capture using UDP?

No. Just Ethernet (14 byte) and DVB-S2 (BBFrame)...

Unless you convert the capture to add a UDP layer then Wireshark won't be able to dissect it.
