Hi, I'm using wireshark-1.8.10-25.el6.x86_64. I'm planning to uninstall this version from my RHEL machine. Does my uninstallation requires the machine reboot?

OS Version : Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.10

Package Version : wireshark-1.8.10-25.el6.x86_64

Also, I could see that wireshark-devel package too along with wireshark.

It shouldn't. If it does, that's probably a mistake on the part of whoever packaged Wireshark.

Thank you very much Harris. I think the package is installed using the yum repository. Also, in rpm query i'm getting the below set of result.

wireshark-gnome-1.8.10-25.el6.x86_64 wireshark-devel-1.8.10-25.el6.x86_64 wireshark-1.8.10-25.el6.x86_64

So, if i do uninstall using the yum along with the wireshark-gnome and wireshark-devel(by executng -- #yum remove wireshark*) will it requires reboot.. ?? Thank you for your comments.
