If the NIC Receive Buffer fills how does this manifest in Wireshark
We are having trouble with recorded video on an NVR stopping and restarting after a few minutes. We are not showing a lot of packet loss, not enough for the video to drop for 10 to 15 seconds on multiple cameras. I know that when the NIC's buffer fills, it doesn't necessarily drop packets, so I am not sure what Wireshark will report if that is happening. Anyone have experience with what Wireshark reports when this is happening? Thank you
There might be several reasons, for having a gap of 10-15 seconds. I suggest you provide us a trace, then we can explain you what Wireshark is showing you and what does happen on your network.
