See the System Requirements from the Users Guide. If the installer is mis-identifying the platform as Vista, it's likely that the server is Windows 2008 which is no longer supported.
See the LifeCycle Wiki page for info on which versions of Wireshark are supported on platforms. For Server 2008 this is 2.2.
