The Windows native command ipconfig /all
will most likely also show interfaces with names ending with an asterisk. (So it is not a Wireshark or Npcap issue.)
For example "Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual" and "WAN Miniport" pseudo interfaces. These are automatically created.
The 'Manage Interfaces' in Wireshark should show these as well, with the "description" shown as comment.
Here you can also unselect interfaces you don't want to see in the 'Capture' list.
