My wifi is a WPA2-Personal secure network just for a little info on my wifi and I don't know which security types I am unable to do this. I've enabled promiscuous mode
You need to use monitor mode on Wi-Fi; promiscuous mode doesn't work. See the Wireshark Wiki's capture-setup-on-Wi-Fi page for more information.
You will also have to provide a key to decrypt the traffic. See the Wireshark Wiki's "How to decrypt 802.11" page for more information.
