You can analyze the stream with Wireshark and measure the throughput and goodput. But normally I would not recommend to do this for home use, unless you have really too much time. The players handles some packet losses and jitter. So in general I would say, if the video quality fits your expection., then I would not dig deeper into it. And if you think you deal with wireless issues, than maybe a wifi layer1 analysis is the better one in this case.
