I dont see any field, where I can see from how long wireshark capture is going on, with out stopping the capture.

Any thoughts?

Go to Statistics -> Summary
Look for:
Time
First packet:
Last packet:
Elapsed:

Another option is to show the Capture Info Dialog:
Go to Edit -> Preferences... ->
Select Capture
Deselect Hide Capture Info Dialog
Hit Apply and OK
Close Wireshark and launch it again.
When you start capturing the Capture Info Dialog gives information about the captured packets and the time Wireshark is running.

Any idea, can I see them on the main capture window?, rather going into Statistic -> summary ?

I don't think so.
BTW
You have to close and open the Summary Window to refresh the elapsed time (and other information).
