Errors when installing Wireshark 1.8.5 on Ubuntu 10.10

in ubuntu10.10 i have tried to install wireshark 1.8.5 by following ways:

  1. from synaptic manager
  2. sudo apt-get install wireshark
  3. and download wireshark1.8.5.tar in that ./configure make make install

but it does not get installed. Each time it shows errors. plz help me.

What are the errors you got for those three attempts? We can't help you without knowing what the errors are.
